National All Schools Netball Challenge Heads to Adelaide

The countdown is on for the 2025 National All Schools Netball Challenge! Bringing together schools from the Government, Catholic and Independent sector, competing at Netball SA Stadium, Adelaide.

from 1–3 September.

This year’s Challenge will see 15 school teams from across Australia come together for three days of competition, connection and celebration of school sport. After two successful years in Bendigo hosting the Year 9/10 competition, the Challenge is heading to Adelaide for the very first time — bringing fresh excitement and opportunity to South Australia’s passionate netball community.

A highlight for 2025 is the introduction of the inaugural Year 7/8 division, which joins the established Year 9/10 competition. With both age groups running, the event is bigger than ever and offers more students the chance to experience high-level national school sport netball. Teams will compete in High Performance and Development streams, ensuring the Challenge continues to cater for a wide range of schools and abilities.

The three-day schedule includes round-robin matches leading into finals, an Opening and Closing Ceremony, and an Education Session that this year is focused on Indigenous culture. Beyond the court, it is an opportunity for students, coaches and schools to connect, share experiences and be a part of a growing tradition in school netball.

The National All Schools Netball Challenge is the only all-schools competition of its kind in Australia, welcoming Government, Catholic, and Independent schools onto one stage. Previous winners, Catherine McAuley College and Rowville Secondary College, have already set a high bar for performance and sportsmanship — and now Adelaide will host the next chapter.

With the move to Netball SA Stadium and the addition of Year 7/8 teams, 2025 promises to be a milestone year. Schools in Action is excited to welcome teams, staff and supporters to Adelaide for what is shaping up to be the biggest and most inclusive Challenge yet.
