2024 National All Schools Cross Country Challenge

About the Event

Schools in Action will be hosting the inaugural National All Schools Cross County Challenge at St Anne’s Winery, Bendigo, Victoria on Friday 17 May 2024. The competition is open to any secondary school registered with their Education Department in their State or Territory for students in Years 7 to Year 12.

Races will be held for both athletes and para athletes.

Schools may enter from four (4) to six (6) students in each age group / gender to create a school team or enter an individual student. Results for team competition will be based on the positions of the first four students in each team.

Events will be held in the following age groups / genders.

Girls Under 14 - 3000m

Boys Under 14 - 3000m

Girls Under 16 Para and Under 20 Para - 3000m

Boys Under 16 Para and Under 20 Para - 3000m

Girls Under 15 - 4000m

Boys Under 15 - 4000m

Girls Under 16 - 4000m

Boys Under 16 - 4000m

Girls Under 17 - 4000m

Boys Under 17 - 6000m

Girls Under 20 - 6000m

Boys Under 20 - 8000m

There will be a fee to participate set at $45 (GST inclusive) per student.

Upon registering for the Challenge, a school will be issued an invoice for a deposit of $110 (GST inclusive) to confirm the school’s intention to participate. The deposit must be paid within fourteen days of the invoice date. If a school is sending individual students and not a team a pro-rated invoice will be raised  based on the number of individual students participating.

Schools will need to organise their own transport to and from the challenge, their accommodation and meals. For the relevant tourism authorities go to Welcome To Bendigo Heathcote - Explore Bendigo (bendigoregion.com.au). If a school requires a marquee for shelter on the day this will be charged seperately.
